Learn. Earn. Burn.
A new way in to a new year (and my very first email 👋)
Hey there.
If you’re reading this, we’ve made a connection somewhere along the way.
When I set out to coach, I made a commitment to myself to remember that my number one job is serving my clients, not creating content. AND, that if I were to make a LinkedIn post or end up in an inbox, I’d only do it if I truly had something to say.
This is my first go at sharing some things that I hope you’ll find curious, helpful, and eye-roll free. Let’s see!
A new way in to a new year.
What could become possible if instead of setting a single, big resolution for the year (that you may or may not stick to), you asked yourself a few questions as *starting points* to help guide you to making the 2025 you want to have real?
This activity is designed to help you sketch some edges around your ideal next year by exploring three main areas:
Learn: What do you want to try that's new, or do differently?
Earn: How do you want to make money (both in approach and tactically)?
Burn: What needs to go, in order to make space for the new stuff?
You’ll start by taking a quick spin through the year you just had to prime yourself for considering the year that you want to have.
All in, it takes less than an hour to complete, is designed to be simple and fun, and results in 1 clear, simple first action you can take in each area - right now.
Inspiration: Doechii ditches the formula
Doechii caught my attention with this Rolling Stone interview, especially her take on how self doubt comes from believing that something or someone beyond yourself is going to get you where you want to go:
I was just fed up with doubting myself. You know? And you doubt yourself when you have convinced yourself that something outside of you is gonna get you somewhere. And that lie that I was believing for a long time was getting too heavy for me to carry. I was like, I genuinely can't do it anymore. I don't care. I'm snatching a wig off. And we're gonna do this. I have to do it now. Period. Or else it ain't never gonna get done, and I'm not letting nobody take my dream.
Which wig are you going to snatch off?
Thanks for reading
If you made it this far, I really appreciate it, and I’d love to hear from you. Email me an update, let me know if you tried Learn, Earn, Burn, or set up some time to say hello face to face — it would be great to reconnect with you.
